Sertraline to fluoxetine experiences

Hi, I've been on 150mg of sertraline for a number of years now, and they just aren't working anymore.
My GP has suggested moving over to fluoxetine, and I'm just wondering whether anyone on here has made this switch and how it went for them?

Hi not me personally but my husband switched 6 months ago due to side effects from sertraline (it was working well apart from a gastric side effect). Switch Was absolutely fine and seems to work well. From memory the doctor told him to stop then have one day in between with no medication before starting new one. Hope you get on well with it

Thank you, I'm taking it for depression and anxiety, I'm nervous about the switch over
