Bored shitless . I have stuff to do . Have the energy to do it but can't be arsed. My choices are.
Wipe down the bannister/skirting/doors .
Do some Xmas wrapping
Sort out down the side of the fridge, sweep and wash kitchen floor

Ooh my clear favourite here is do some Xmas shopping 😃 ideally whilst curled up in a blanket with a nice cup of hot chocolate or coffee! I would love to be doing this but unfortunately finished all mine in October 🤣

Start with the wiping, but only do 30 minutes. Move on to the wrapping, but again, only do 30 minutes, repeat for your third chore.
If you finish within the 30 minutes or can see you will finish shortly after 30 minutes, carry on & complete the job. Put on some jolly music & plan a cup of tea or coffee when you have done everything.

Xmas wrapping, because that has a deadline and the others don't. Maybe watch some Youtubes on lovely wrapping techniques. Put all your love and concentration into it. Add all the ribbons, bows and extras that you have. Listen to carols at the same time.

Yeah I just finished mine. I done all mine on line. I hate going to the shops . I don't drive either so it's hard to carry. I just need to do the Xmas food shop.

30 mins would probably get the kitchen 100% done . I think the wiping skirting , frames doors would take me 45 mins - 1hr
It would take about 30 mins to wrap around 3/4 items.

I couldn't do 30 one job leave it 30 min the next and so on it would throw me of and i would end up with things half done. And I think I would create more mess

🤣 I don't have the patience for pretty wrapping. I don't do bows or ribbons . It's normally badly wrapped. And a bit of white paper for the lable. Unless I remember to get tags. Which I normally run out of and end up back to the white bits of paper .

As said, Xmas wrapping has a deadline and has to be done at some point, so I'd go for that. Alternatively, forget about the lot and go for a walk and coffee/cake treat!

RubyRedBow · 07/12/2024 11:25

I couldn’t be arsed either but I had some energy so I forced myself to clean the kitchen sink and wipe all the sides down. That was enough to give me the motivation to keep going and I’ve done loads more jobs. The weather is awful so I thought I may aswell keep going.

I would damp dust the skirting, sweep and hoover and then sort the fridge. Put music/podcast or a YouTube video on in the background and you’ll be done in less than 30 minutes. Then you’ve got a clean house to relax and wrap presents.

It's really windy and raining. I'm not going out. I have a food shop coming soon . I'm sure i will find some crap to eat 🤣.

I'm not worried about the wrapping having a time limit. It will get done either way.

I will do something practical today though

It takes me a while to do stuff because I get out of breath easy. And get distracted with other things ie kids etc.

I might finish the kitchen off then I know it's 100% done. I would need to clean the oven but probably come back to that as I don't have any oven cleaner.

I ended up sorting the kitchen some more and built a shelving unit .

Does it look silly there. I'm not sure why I put it there really. To fill the gap I guess . But I have nothing to put on them
And even if I did I'm thinking it will end up more crap

What should I do.
