Yep just seen them turn away from an Amsterdam direction, go past Brussels and thought it must be off to Frankfurt!

Depending on crew hours they might refuel and have another go. I presume they've got a full A380 of pax at LHR waiting to go to Dubai so they need to get that plane into LHR really.

The Red 7700 shows up on the plane info if you click on the plane , also the plane is bright red when declaring an emergency. I also look at flight number of twitter and there’s usually a few posts on what the emergency is and where it’s diverting too.

Frankfurt! Crikey. I wonder what the most attempts it’s ever taken anyone to land? There were so proper hairy attempts on big jet TV today!

For info at many airlines it’s two attempts and then (unless there’s an obvious improvement in conditions) divert.

Of course you might end up more limited by the fuel you have.
