Bed bugs?!

DD woke up with some raised bumps on her skin, which look like bites. They are on her forearm and by her knees and back of the calf.

Could these be bed bugs?! I’ve checked her mattress and bedding and can’t see any signs. I’ve stripped all her blankets, sheets and checked them. We do have dogs but they’ve recently been treated with the prescription flea stuff from the vet.

Maybe the flees have escaped the dogs and are looking for somewhere else to be.

Are those pajama bottom or shorts.
Only place I ever had bedbugs were on holiday as a kid and they would make for a tiny bit of exposed skin at my ankle and not migrate past that. So bites all round the ankle but not up the leg.

Has she had chickenpox? They look similar to those to me. Does she have them on her torso and back as well?

We also have dogs who are regularly flea treated.

Either way, I'd take her to the pharmacist tomorrow for a look and after that the GP if they can't help you.

Did she walk through grass, field, park etc earlier today

It might just be bites from outside

KittenPause · 07/12/2024 02:47

Or stinging nettles
