Missing my youth

I'm 49. It's 10pm Friday night. I'm in the bath. I no longer want to go out out because I'm no longer as slim, every bit of me aches. I'm tired a lot of the time.

I miss not being slim
I miss not being as energetic
I miss not being me
I miss my youth

Aw, I hear ya (same age)
Although I'm learning to embrace it.
I used to love going out on Friday nights until Sunday I think I'd die now though 😭😁
Had the opportunity to go out from lunch time until midnight the other week and did, and OMG it was good but the next couple of days isn't worth it anymore 😭
Enjoying learning what I enjoy now, which seems to be boxsets/crap on Netflix and bottle of wine at home, or the cinema and theatre /musicals.
Unheard of in my late teens /early 20s

You can be old(er) and slim. I'm 44 and slimmer than I was at 18 (yo yo dieter)

I miss that too, but why are you aching all over? That doesn’t sound right.

Oh me too! Although you are doing well to be even up at that time! I'm in bed with a book long before then.

I haven't been out for dinner and drinks in the evening for months and I'm only doing Christmas Eve as we usually do this year. I feel permanently exhausted but I'm cutting myself some slack because I'm not a young woman anymore, I'm doing my home up, I work full time and I've had a really rough summer both personally and professionally.
