ASD DS is this normal?

For the past few weeks 4yo DS has been doing something I’m not sure is normal? He goes kind of stiff, tenses up that much he shakes, goes red in the face and makes a face kind of like this emoji 😬

He does this for several seconds then just stops like nothing has happened. Just wondering if this is normal

Yes my DS is autistic and does this sometimes usually when angry about something. He also growls. It is a way of self regulating I guess.

Or if he is not fully toilet trained yet he could be trying to strain to go poo, if that is the case then constipation might be an issue and it might need a trip to the GP for something to help.

Yes my autistic son who is now an adult used to do this as a young child.

I was going to suggest this too - is he straining to poo or actually withholding?
