Period and Holiday - HELP!

Hello lovelies! My period is due when I am away in the sunshine and swimming! I have never got one with tampons and I went to the pharmacist this morning who won’t prescribe the period delaying medicine due to previous high BP which is still stabilising postpartum.

Does anyone have any idea what to do?! Avoiding the pool and a pad in my costume? HELP!

the period pants manufacturers make swimwear too

A menstrual cup? Found this to be an absolute game changer. Didn't get on with them before having kids, but wouldn't be with it now.

Do you have any periods before the holiday you could either practice tampons again, try a mooncup or period pant swimwear?

A spec of lube on the tip of a tampon can help, otherwise, the ones with the applicator are easier IMO. I've never used period pants, so have no idea how they'd work as swimwear? Surely it would get soaked up by water and not period, but maybe someone who uses them can advise.

Period swimwear.

Or just put a tampon for the hour you're in the pool. Then take it out again

Maybe your GP would be happy to prescribe knowing more about your history.

@JC03745 yeah I don't want to think about how period swimwear works either!!
