I'm always thinking way ahead, and looking for great deals. Summer gone I had booked us up with haven for blue dolphin Yorkshire, we enjoyed ourselves but it hadn't changed one bit there wasn't much choice for a smaller child and two older children, I still want to do a caravan holiday just with another company and elsewhere in the country (I'm from the north east near Sunderland), suggestions would be lovely, Im more so looking for reviews on places from folk who have been to said suggested place. I am looking on Google but it's nice to have direct input..thank you!.

What’s your budget? Do you want to stay in Uk or would you consider abroad?

MiddleAgedDread · 05/12/2024 14:11

A staycation I've 4 boys so abroad is way to expensive, my budget is no more than £1000, if that's even possible. Our last caravan holiday was over 2 grand but that's because I picked 7 days this time we only want to do 4 days

We aren't bothered about how far aslong as the place and stay over is suitable for 4 kids and 2 adults 😊

£2k to stay in a caravan?!? Have a look at the sites in Scotland at the end of August, they might be cheaper as Scottish schools go back in the middle of the month.

Is Isle of Wight too far ?

Going in the ferry feels like you're going abroad

A great caravan park there with a fantastic beach is White cliff bay

They have free outdoor cinema

www.awayresorts.co.uk/parks/isle-of-wight/whitecliff-bay/

Also there is so much to do on the island

Absolute musts are

Blackgang chine
Robin Hill

These 2 we used to get a weekly ticket for next to nothing allowing you to visit both places all week - so we'd swim etc in the morning then afternoon / evening go to the above

Monkey sanctuary
Needles

Lots of other things I can't remember
