Accidentally put period pants in tumble dryer - are they ruined?

Just that really. One pair ended up in the dryer. Should I bin them? I'd hate for DD to be caught with a leak because I ruined them and didn't throw them out!

I have done this- mine seem to have survived!

Which ones are they? My partner has accidentally put my Modibodi ones in the dryer and it didn't affect their absorbency.

I've done this. Suspect it might shorten the life expectancy, but they survived. Could always be kept as a home/night time pair if you're concerned?

Onlymurders · 04/12/2024 12:05

I always put my daughter's in the dryer (now it's winter). It hasn't done any damage to them at all. They're very hard to dry any other way in winter, and I feel they are fresher if dried quickly rather than hanging on a clothes horse waiting for the radiators to come on.

Test them out at home first, they'll probably be ok but as others have said, have a shorter lifespan.

They are M&S ones.

I usually dry them flat on a clothes horse next to a dehumidifer and they dry quite quickly. This one pair just got caught up with the other bits going into the dryer.

Maybe as it's a once off they'll be ok. Good idea to keep them for night time use. Thanks

I’ve fully tumbled WUKA and Modibodi pairs by accident, and they’ve survived.

I actually dry all period undies on radiators in winter, as if I leave to dry naturally on the clothes horse they get a fusty smell. There has been no noticeable degradation.
