Strange missed calls

Anyone else had strange missed calls over the past few days? I'm on 3 network and have had 3 calls from numbers I don't have saved. When I've called them back they've said they haven't called me and that they had a missed call from me first?
Lady this morning was from the opposite end of the country and one lady sounded Irish.
Wonder if there's a network issue?

A friend of mine was scammed after calling back a number that she didn't have saved. I'm not saying that this is what is happening here; as you say there may be a network issue, but I personally make a point of never taking a call from, or calling back a number that I don't recognise. If someone wants me urgently they can call back and leave a message and I'll make the decision then.

Yes, I have had this happened before. I believe what is happening is they are cloning, people's numbers and on a dial up machine.It makes it look like they are using a telephone.When they are not.
I had the same thing happened to me. I had people ringing me claiming I had rang them when I hadn't, and I've also had calls ring me. I've rang them back and they haven't rang me. So I googled it, and it is a well known thing that is done just block

Yeah Ive had this but didn't call them back. Id suggest blocking them and any other similar calls.

Yeah I won't call back again. I think it must be cloned as the people I've called back have sounded genuine!

I've had this too, I never call them back or answer though.

I'd be really careful calling back by the way - they're often cloned numbers and you can end up being connected to a premium line somewhere!

Also the more you engage, the more likely they are to keep calling.
