What would you do ....

I am booked in for a root canal today and I go on holiday tonight at 6pm (flying to Lanzarote )
I'm in two minds wether to delay it
I'm in no pain at the minute with it,sometimes a bit tingly but nothing bad.

I'm worried it's going to start aching after the procedure
What would you do ?

If not in pain I would delay it.

Do you think the ache post-procedure is more of a risk than getting pain from the damaged tooth while you are away?

I would go and get it over with. It would be just typical it gets worse and ruins your holiday. Have you had root canal before? I had no pain after getting it done once numbness wore off it was totally fine

Well this is the thing
I had a x ray and they said it was a small hole.
So I had a normal filling down
Afterwards I couldn't chew hard things on it and it would tingle (before the filing it was okay )
So I went back and she said okay il take the filling out and do root canal
I didn't think for a small hole I would even need a root canal
So at the minute I have this filling in that weirdly isn't as uncomfortable to chew on but randomly tingles

Well everyone's experience of root canal work is different obviously, but mine was a horror show (sorry, probably not what you want to hear!)

My face was swollen so badly I looked like a caricature of myself. This lasted several days. Once the anaesthetic wore off I was in a lot of pain and needed very strong painkillers just to get through the day...and was miserable.

It's a call you need to make OP, and only you know what 'you'd rather' given what your current situation is.

Have a nice holiday though...my friend is in Lanzarote right now and is spamming us all with gorgeous sunsets and almost deserted beaches 👌🏻😍

@twentysevendresses my last one I needed it extracting as it didn't work.
I've changed it to January
It's not worth the stress of worrying
I can't wait to get there !
I'm up north and it's freezing up here
