Any of you watched the bbc doc on loaded magazine?

I’m so glad thjngs have moved on since the 90s

hate the way, men saw you as a piece of meat back then and all them magazines at eye level for kids to see

the main guy that ran it seems unable to reflect that it could a have been harmful to women or sexist

I loved it - took me right back to my youth 😀

I liked the 90s soundtrack

I grew up in the 90s where all this shit was normalised and watching it back I can't believe it was ever acceptable

I will be watching this tonight! I agree Loaded was misogynistic and objectified women to a degree that even at the time seemed a bit 😵 but I did used to piss myself at some of the writing. There was one of their writers, I am almost afraid to Google him to check his name cos I suspect just by the memory of his face he may have been a right office-based nuisance. He was funny when he wasn’t being gross, used to anthropomorphise the strangest objects, surreal (and possibly coke-induced) stuff. Like a Sixth Year magazine with naked women.
