DUSK RUG - ADVICE PLEASE!! Will I be able to get a refund? Product not good quality and falling apart

I purchased a rug from DUSK.

initially the rug seemed fine. As the day has gone on, I have noticed a lot of the fluff is coming off it and the rug is thin/seems awful quality.

My issue is, the rug is not in its original packaging so I’m not going to be able to return it am I?

in order to get the rug out to look at the packaging had to be cut, there was no other way I’d be able to get the rug out or put it back into the plastic it was wrapped in.
where do I go from here?
any advice appreciated. I don’t have much hope. Rug was £79

It was delivered today from DUSK.
I don’t think they will accept a return as the packaging is gone but I had to remove the packaging / cut it or I wouldn’t have been able to even get the rug out to look at it. Not sure if it’s even worth bothering trying to get a refund as I don’t think I’ll have a leg to stand on. I am really disappointed with the quality and I’ve been looking for a rug for ages.

I mean it sounds like it's not fit for purpose. I don't think things you've bought online have to be in their original packaging if that means you couldn't have seen the thing.

I usually go to MSE for this sort of thing.

If the rug is faulty, then they should take it back and refund it. Doesn't matter about the packaging. Lots of things you'd have to take the packaging off. I've just had a new washing machine, and I couldn't ever sellotape the packaging back together if i had to return it. 😂

DUSK have excellent customer service in my experience. If the rug is faulty or you do not like it just wrap it up ( use plenty of tape) and send it back.

Have a look on Trustpilot and Google the company, you can send it back and I would but like me you will probably end up going through your credit card or bank to get your money back.

Some serious problems going on there, they have also closed their phone lines!
Do not respond to emails and yet seem to be all over social media touting for business and removing negative comments.

Oh dear. Have you tried sending something back before and not had much luck? I actually paid through Klarna so I’m hoping I can get my money back through them if no luck with DUSK…
