Sick bug again!!

Poor DS seems to be on his third stomach bug since September. I can’t believe it’s happening again. Roughly 5 weeks since the last one😔 I’ve heard it’s rife at the moment but this is just taking the mick! His best friend was off school last Thursday as he’d been vomiting and I was very surprised to see him back at school the next day. Don’t want to point fingers but🤷🏻‍♀️

Another night of no sleep for me and I just can’t wait for it to be my turn in a few days like usual🙄

Urgh selfish arsehole parents.

But three since September does seem like an awful lot - are they definitely all sickness bugs? Even if he's prone to them I wouldn't think three different ones would have gone round the school in that time!

@DarkAndTwisties That’s what I was thinking but aren’t there different strains? I’m not 100% sure. I’m pretty sure the last 2 were bugs as DS2 caught the one in September and then I caught the October one

His first was the beginning of September, then again at the end of October now again

Yeah there are different strains, I guess he's just unlucky to encounter so many in such a short time.

Was he like this last winter?

How old is he? My DS caught loads when he was younger. One a month. He gets sick much less now. Probably as he washes his hands more.

@Tailfeather He’s 8. When he first started school he’d get 1 or 2 a year then he didn’t get one for about 18 months but this year has just been terrible

Aaw bless him. Mine is 8 too. When he was 6 we had 1 a month.

We had a year like that about 3 years ago, 3 on the trot, he is a thumb sucker which I don’t think helped!
