Pending bank transactions

I have 29 pending transactions on NatWest account! Some are a week old and from variety of shops and online. Is this normal??

It’s normal for transactions to be pending for a while, yes.

We can’t tell you if it’s normal to have that many as it depends on your spending habits.

I've noticed payments on my credit card are sitting pending for longer than they used to.

I've noticed similar on my bank account and I'm with Barclays! It's very odd.

Also Barclays and also have transactions pending for days. Never happened previously and spending hasn't changed.

I've also noticed when I pay my Barclaycard the amount outstanding doesn't update for ages - over a week last month! Gives me a fright as I then think my payment has disappeared but it is in the "Recent Transactions" column.

Includes shops like M and S - you'd think their systems would be pretty quick.
