Christmas nonsense that can get in the sea

Matching family pyjamas
Matching family jumpers
Photoshoots involving the above
The Elf
Christmas Eve boxes
Hot chocolate stations
Light trails

This is all just absolute nonsense that people are being sucked into by advertising and social media #makingmemories scams.

There, you're welcome. From a Grinch.

@StepawayfromtheLindors wouldn't it get annoying having the hot chocolate (and extras) out all the time. I don't have the space in my kitchen - that's why cupboards were invented 😂😂

If would be annoying for you then don't do it. Other people might have the space. If it makes them happy what's the issue?

@NerrSnerr I was being slightly tongue in cheek.
As I said upthread to me hot chocolate is just such an ordinary basic drink.
To me it's like having a piece of "Christmas toast" or "Christmas bowl of cornflakes" 😂
I don't care what other people do tbh.

I don’t do this. Think it’s a “load of wank” as per pp.

Haven’t rttft right through but-Christmas Markets that charge admission. This is specific and probably recognisable but hey. We have a large property in our town and they have a Christmas Market(sorry Winter market) admission is charged. Ok loads of places do this, but locals(many of whom are members and used to get free admission) boycott it. And it used to be free for all. You go, you spend money, the stall holders pay a bomb to display. You get charged you might not spend as much. The year it was included I went three times, Dh went twice, DD went twice. Your admission is included in membership or free, more people come, spend more money. I know the property is wanting the admission but spending money to spend money? Bah humbug.

What about Advent calendars which have 25 doors/chocolates/gifts? I mean, who needs one last minuscule chocolate once He's BEEN!??

Yeah, that annoys me. There's no such thing you can buy that's actually an Advent calendar. You can buy 1st-25th December calendars and that's it.

Advent starts anywhere between 27 November and 3rd December and last until 24th December. Even years like this year when Advent did actually start on 1st December they still all have an extra day.

They ought to be called pre-Christmas calendars.
