If I have a plug socket in my living room could one easily be placed on the other side of the wall it's on, in the hall?

I have no idea how it works

Its it a plasterboard stud partition wall? If it is its very easy to do, still possible if its a brick wall but will be more difficult and more messy.

Hi you can if the original socket is not already being used to spur another socket. If there's 2 cables going in to the back of the socket and it's supplied by a 32amp breaker then it's likely to be on a ring main and yes it would be ok in this case.

Thankyou, I was not planning on doing it myself but just wanted to know if it was possible before I contact any electricians.

:)
