Hate decoration clutter

I know I'm probably being a right grump but I'm sat here feeling super overwhelmed and grumpy about all the Christmas clutter happening in my house 😭
I absolutely hate all the STUFF that comes with Christmas. The cards and trees, ornaments, wreaths, garlands, lights, advent calendars, kids crafts.
My kids are so excited and my husband has spend hours outside sorting the lights but I'm sat here in a right piss as I want my nice simple clutter free house back! And it's only day one 😭😭😭
Please tell me I'm not alone??

We have a pretty minimalist house , very few ornaments etc but I love my Christmas bits . We have 3 trees , decorate the stairway and have a few bits standing about - love it .

I don't like clutter at anytime of year. Have decorative things that I like, and that I put away, and change up, usually seasonally. That includes Xmas, but the decos are more winter items: simple sprig of artificial holly and a vase with artificial pine branch and cones, a red berry small wreath, that kind of thing. It's pretty, makes a change for the season. Just not into Xmas and there are plenty of others that feel the same. We did all the Santa, reindeer, trees and bunting when our DCs were little, and I too didn't mind when it was time to put it all away.

i have just done ours and we have a real tree with minimal lights and glitzy decorations (Pearl and other simple colours)

I change the rug to reddish tone (faded type) so enough to make the place look festive but I really don’t have all the ‘in your face’
stuff

this I bought Nordic pine garlands and some of those cowbells and it’s enough to be honest

I'm not a fan of clutter but I know that other people who live in my house like different things.
Home life is about compromise.
As it is you get your way for the majority of the year.
It would be better to put your face straight, relax a bit and know it will be over with in a few weeks.

I don't like clutter, but feel it's inevitable with 7 of us in one house, plus 2 cats and 2 dogs. At least christmas clutter is nice and cheerful.

So the clutter is complete. Not feeling too bad so far. But the carpets are covered in glitter, pine needles and other random stuff so now I need a good house blast top to bottom.
