It's advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

...and so each day up until Christmas I'll be bringing you some festive scenes from Playmoland. Today Franziska and Heinz are putting up their Christmas decorations.

Well, they are real people to me! Animating them would be lovely, but sooo time consuming. It takes long enough just to set up the static scenes. So I'll leave that to someone with more time and patience.

I'm starting to get in the Christmas mood, I really fancy a mince pie looking at that delicious tray.

Unfortunately I didn't get to eat any of them, as I made them for a friend who is doing the refreshments for a concert this evening and petalpower has already collected them as she's also helping with the refreshments. But I expect I'll make some more before Christmas!

I'm sure the weather will be lovely as usual in Playmoland! It will be wet and windy for me, but at least I live in the East, so could be worse!

@FuzzyCaoraDhubh I hope you will be ok, as I saw on another thread you are in Ireland, where the weather will be very wild. I feel for my friends in the West of England and West Wales too.

DS3 has a Pirate playmobil advent calendar this year. So far we have a pirate with feathered hat, cutlass, gun, compass, parrot, spear for fishing and a boat.

It's really wild here at the moment where I am in South County Cork. There are reports of trees down. Hoping the power stays on for the morning cup of tea!

That sounds fab @BertieBotts ! In my Playmo farm advent calendar I have so far had a little girl with an apple, a cat and mouse, a kitten and mouse, a light brown rabbit with carrot, a dark brown rabbit with parsnip and a rabbit hutch!

@FuzzyCaoraDhubh morning cup of tea is essential! (Well, according to Norman, but I agree with him ).

Who am I to argue with Norman 😄☕

Oh I forgot the bottle which is supposed to have a rolled-up message in it, but DS2 managed to seal it before I could find the instructions so I didn't realise and made the message paper into a treasure map instead. None of us can get the bottle open again so we have decided it must be a bottle of rum instead.

Treasure maps are good! All sorts of uses for them, as you will find out!

Also for a bottle of rum! My last use of that was to put some in my Christmas pudding...
