It's advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

...and so each day up until Christmas I'll be bringing you some festive scenes from Playmoland. Today Franziska and Heinz are putting up their Christmas decorations.

Hopefully the onsite engineer has given it the thumbs up for stability.

I was wondering why there was a portaloo in the scene. Brilliant!!

You have to have a portaloo on a construction site! The Playmobil people are very civilised...it would never do for someone to have to duck behind a tree!

That's very true! Although Norman has a special reason to be raising a cup today - his original owner (my ds) is 24 today!

Thank you all! He will have been working today, but I'll hopefully speak to him on the phone this evening. And no, I didn't buy him any Playmobil! He's not really that interested these days (although he did quite enjoy looking at the catalogue with me when he was home recently!).

Thank you all! He had a busy day at work. No tea, as he doesn't like hot drinks (Norman is rather disappointed but there you go). No actual cake but his friend made chocolate brownies for him to take to work.

When I spoke to him he was enjoying a beer (not a Playmobil blue wine!) and waiting for his pie to cook in the oven.

Today Matthias has taken Franz and Emil out curling on the frozen pond.

Emil is quite good at curling!

Now it's Franz's turn.

He does quite well, but can't quite match Emil!

After the curling it's time for cupcakes all round!

Meanwhile, Fritz, Johanna and Akira are having a snowball fight.

Fritz has been knocked over by that one!

Here comes Noel to join in the fun.

He has been well and truly snowballed!

These are so sweet, and I feel like they're real people almost! Have you ever thought of animating them? Or making a book? I bet we'd all buy them!
