Audible Help Please

I am looking to buy a year subscription from Audible as a Christmas gift. Please has anyone bought it as a gift and how does it work? I obviously don’t want them to find out until Christmas but I am worried if I have to put in their details whether they will be emailed. I take it too that it would be best to leave buying it until as late as possible because the year would start from the date I bought it?

It looks like it works like a gift voucher - so you buy it and they get a code to redeem. I imagine they would be emailed the voucher if you put their email address in, yes. www.audible.co.uk/ep/giftcentre

So basically: it won’t start until they redeem the code, but they will find out when you buy it so leave it late for that reason.

You can choose the date you’d like it to be sent.

Someone else has given a much better answer than I did, so editing to say that I think it's a very good present choice. :) With my username I would though, wouldn't I.

Thankyou so much for all the replies, I think the best idea will be to literally buy it when I want them to receive it because otherwise the surprise element will be gone! It will save on gift wrap though won’t it 😊
