The main male character is English but plays an American ( I think) He is a professor and his wife has a gift shop.
It is set mainly on an American coastal resort where the family are on their annual holiday.
His head is turned by an attractive married waitress.
The family return home after their holiday. It turns out the wife's father owns the property they live in.
I know it is vague information but it was on in the background and I wouldn't mind watching it now.
