Christmas tree and puppy

We have an 8 month old spaniel puppy. Thinking about the tree and where to put it etc and also if he'll take the ornaments! Anyone else? Not many options on where!

Last year I bought an 8 sided 120cm high cage/room divider and put it around my tree when my lab was a baby. This year I've just decided to have a smaller tree up high on a chest of drawers rather than the big cage arrangement because it was so imposing and I could even see the tree properly anyway
