With the rise of the right it seems to me they want to control abortion okay for a lot of people Farage is trying to discuss about term times and whether 24 weeks is too much might be legitimate but I don’t believe Nigel Farage is legitimate. I honestly believe that he With Donald Trump right now would like to ban all abortions in fact they’re doing pretty much that in a lot of states in America. And I’m sure it will get worse under his next term.
I believe that actually a lot on the hard right Shall we say, Talk about the great replacement theory that I often see on post on here especially talking about how immigration will replace white British and that we need more births that we do . I guess they want to increase births, because isn’t it very strange These right wing men don’t like welfare don’t want people to have children and have some sort of support oh no, but you’re not allowed an abortion of course he’s not particularly saying that he he he’s talking today about the term times shouldn’t be as much as 24 weeks.
I’m not a medical professional. I don’t know what my opinion on that subject particular is but I do know that I don’t like the way this conversation is going we have a lot of dark money in this country that is funding these pro-life groups that have come from America and I think we should be worried about that and I know that women possibly in this country that probably think reform are great because they like their stance on the immigrants well maybe you want to be thinking about that if your daughter can’t get an abortion because in America right now there’s a lot of people that are fucked about and found out they’ve realised that actually voting Donald Trump has had a big effect. Particularly his defunding of the education department and many people that voted for him now realising they’ve been told that their children with special education needs aren’t gonna get the help. They were not aware of how that was going to affect them so what I’m saying is do not be fooled Voting for people on a hateful platform then realising they take your rights away like abortion. I have been seeing a lot of videos on YouTube with that so perhaps we should all be thinking that obviously abortion in this country isn’t actually legal and it needs to be in line with Northern Ireland but there you go that’s my stance.

Do you have anything to say about what I have actually posted or just criticise how I have written it?

Apologies, which country are you saying should be in line with NI? I do believe that over 16 weeks is too far along though.

The Offences Against the Person Act 1861 still makes it a crime to have or provide an abortion in England and Wales, and the penalty is life in prison. However, the Abortion Act provides a legal defense for the pregnant woman and her doctor in certain cases.
In Northern Ireland, abortion is decriminalized, and women can decide to end their pregnancy without fear of prosecution. This was achieved through the Abortion (Northern Ireland) (No. 2) Regulations 2020.
So basically you can be prosecuted still in England Wales and Scotland our law needs to be same northern Ireland.

How are people meant to decipher what you're saying when you've written a load of ramble?

Bloodybrambles · 29/11/2024 01:11

I only read half of what you have written before I had to give up.

what is it you’d like to discuss?

Abortion timeframe?
Abortion in America?
Nigel Farage?
The American election?
Banning Abortion to increase white birth rate?
Shady things going on in the U.K.?
Is the U.K. going to follow suit with pro life?
Reducing the timeframe for abortion in the U.K.?
Differences between U.K. and NI abortion laws?

My opinion:
As a married woman with the mental and physical resources to deal with an unexpected baby I would not have an abortion unless medical advised.

However, what other women choose to do with their bodies is none of my business. Being a mum isn’t easy, let alone being a mum when you don’t want to be. There’s a stat out there somewhere that most late abortions are due to medical reasons - that’s the real reason for the 20 week scan.

In an ideal world. If you are in poverty, rural, in a controlling relationship, struggling with substances, found out late, any one of a hundred reasons, you may need longer. I trust women to make ethical choice for themselves.

I am sorry if it has come across as a ramble, but basically all of it, because Nigel, farage was discussing. Term time limits for abortion.
What I am saying it is as a friend of Donald Trump. This isn't just gonna stop at that. I believe the right is gaining traction across the world. And abortion is an issue they seem to have a problem with, because systematically, they do not want immigration, so they're trying to convince people to keep babies, especially when there is the old trope of
The great replacement theory convincing people that immigration and migrants because of birth rates will take over the white race. Etc
And yes, how the right from america are funding a lot of pro life groups in this country, and since it isn't actually decriminalized as in northern ireland has just done, then we should have the same in the united kingdom

Wow I wasn't aware if that, what a way to kick women when they are down 😢 I'm surprised that NI is further ahead to be honest. Abortion only recently became legal. And there is still a lot of uproar about it. Some of the main parties didn't want it at all.

frozendaisy · 29/11/2024 06:43

The UK doesn't have the God complex America has

Farage just wants to be in the spotlight again. Best you can do is ignore the weasel most in Westminster do.

The only reason that the Northern Ireland is ahead was because that was done in 2019. Because previously, before then, they had to come over to our country. England wales are scotland to get an abortion

I really found your post very hard to figure out as it was a ranty ramble. I only got as "the right" & I had to stop.

It is very unhelpful to your argument to use expressions such as "the right". It causes division & your argument has instantly lost credibility.

I agree with abortion for medical reasons but I think it is very unethical to abort a healthy little baby boy or girl because the parents wanted the opposite sex.

HermioneWeasley · 29/11/2024 08:11

Donald trump doesn’t give a shit about abortion. It’s something that he’s done to appease the right wing evangelicals who vote for him, and his stance in the latest election was a lot softer than previously.

we do not have the same religious pressure here. It’s a non starter.

Actually, in my argument, I am talking about the right, the rise of the right
It's the right that have led to america now practically banning abortion in republican states.
Nigel farage is on the right and I am believing because I am not stupid. That. There is a link here

Hopefully but as another post, put there is a lot of dark money and I have been researching it online about this. There is a lot of republican influence over here.
Besides, which, if he gets into parliament and wins the election next time and becomes prime minister.Could he not try to force the debate. Imagine if you will, that reform has a massive mandate, just like what we've seen with labour this time

Nigel farage would never be prime minister. He's an agitant who appeals to a minority. He also doesn't know how to do anything constructive.

Postitnotess · 29/11/2024 08:17

Not a Trump fan, but he's not the reason the US started banning abortion or banning it after 8 weeks or whatever the very early cut off point is. That was the Democrat Presidency. That was Biden.

I personally think 23 weeks is too late for an abortion. I know someone who was born at 23 or 24 weeks. Cut off point should be around 12 weeks or if an anomaly is picked up on the 20 week scan then soon after that.

The thing is, people say that, but he's gonna do some sort of deal with the conservatives, he's already just taken andrea Jenkins she was the m p for morley, for the conservatives

No, you are twisting your facts. Donald Trump put more Republican judges in the Supreme Court. They then overturned roe versus wade. That is how it happened. It's not to do with biden
