Do you do calligraphy?

Struggling for things for DD for Christmas and she seems interested in calligraphy, her friend got a book.
Any recommendation of pens, papers. Anything. I was going to get her a light box anyway so assume that might help?

Used to - ink pens are best with the different nibs for different fonts. Manuscript rings a bell as a brand. Popular fonts are italic, until and gothic so check nibs are included for those.

If she wants to do traditional copperplate and gothic style then you can get good starter kits in Hobbycraft. If she's after the modern calligraphy you see on social media then get her some good watercolour brush pens. Both types can benefit from some fine liners, pencils, ruler, eraser and a good quality pad of paper.

I’ve seen a starter kit and I might get some watercolour brush pens too. I don’t want to ask as she mentioned it in passing that her friend had a book and she was jealous.
