CHAPS payment panic

I’ve just remortgaged and the surplus is due today as we completed yesterday. The money was sent via CHAPS from the solicitor an hour ago. NatWest have told me it is usually instant but it’s not arrived yet. I am having quite the panic, it is a significant amount! Does anyone have any experience of this?

Yes - it can arrive a bit later so try not to panic!

Thank you. It’s just arrived. Even though logic tells you it will all be sorted my default was full panic mode this morning. Thanks again :).
