Mosquito bites late November?

I had an incredibly itchy spot just above my ankle two nights ago. I couldn’t stop itching it, and it turned into the highest up spot. Last night two more happened, but I have managed to avoid itching them
to the same extent. Are these mossie bites? At this time of year?

It’s difficult to tell from the photo because I don’t have my glasses with me, but have you got any animals? Or have any of you been around other people’s animals? Or working in a place that might need to be treated because someone has carried in passengers from home?

Have you noticed anything jumping? The ankles and legs are a prime site for flea bites.

Fleas?

Don’t know but I was at my allotment earlier this month and me and a friend who was there with me, were covered in really itchy midge bites all over our arms and faces. Didn’t realize until the next morning when they’d all come up overnight. Felt all wrong seasonally. Glad of the cold snap- hopefully it’s killing stuff off.

Yes I can hear them at night. I put anti mosquito spray on last night. Last week I had a hideous bite on my leg. I react badly anyway, but it was infected even though I hadn’t scratched it. It’s gone now thankfully. The week before that I had one on my back. That’s left a big red mark. It’s so mild and damp, they love it.

I was bitten by something only a couple of weeks ago so I think it's entirely possible that there are still midgeys around. I don't have pets so not getting anything from them.

I haven’t seen any recently but I killed loads of the bastards in October. Do you live in the south? Also could be fleas though.

I’m paranoid that it is fleas now 😂😂. The dogs are always treated every 29 days but I’ve gone over the house as though we are infested and hopefully that will clear up any horrid critters!

The bites have the tell-tale “poke hole” that you get from mossie bites, do fleas give that too?
