On the back of salary thread: What's your net household income and how is your house made up?

I'm interested following reading some of the responses on the salary post, in net household income and household dynamics.

I'm a single parent with two children who are 15 and 7. I earn 49k plus occasional extra independent work (I'm a social worker). My net income is around £4200 with childcare costs of about £150 per month and a mortgage of £863.

I don't have a loan but do use a credit card that I keep under control. No car finance. I overpay my mortgage. My children both do activities, but I personally don't have expensive hobbies and we don't go on lots of holidays. We do go to concerts, events, and days out quite a lot. If they need something, I get it for them - never any question of checking money first. However, I do feel things are tight despite having the freedom to do that. I don't have a food budget: I buy what we need. I am never in debt with any of the major bills.

So who's in your household, roughly what is your net household income; and do you feel it is enough to live a comfortable but not extravagant lifestyle?
