I have had a chipped front tooth since childhood.
I have always had it built up or bonded I think it's called. I don't know what the term is. It lasts about 8 years then I need it doing again. No issues.
However, I am at a different dentist now. She has done the bonding. Except it chipped away again after five days. So today I went back to have to done again.
She also said she thought the bonded tooth was too long which is why it chipped again so quickly. So she took a bit off one of the teeth in the lower jaw in order that they don't meet.
My tooth with bonding on also feels rough and thicker than the other tooth next to it. All different.
I have explained this to her and she said it was all normal. Is it normal to take away a bit of the lower tooth?
