Presale for concerts - how does it work?

I'm going to be trying to get tickets for a concert for DD this week. For an artist we had tickets for for a previous tour that was then pulled due to 'illness' which was the reason given at the time, but I think it was really that covid was taking hold. I decided I'd try and get tickets if and when they toured again and it was in the news this week that they are.

Tickets go on sale on Friday. But I have 2 presale opportunitites. One through a ballot from the artist's site, which goes live at 9am. Another with O2 priority that goes live at 10am. I'm completely aware that none of this means I'll land a ticket but I'm hopeful.

What I'm wondering is, if I'm all logged in etc to ticketmaster and get stuck in a queue and/or the tickets are all sold out before I get a change (has happened to me before) what type of tickets are usually offered on presale?

Is it a mix of prices? Most expensive? Rubbish seats they hope to shift first?

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have bought several times on presale, through my mobile phone provider. They have a limit on the number of tickets they can sell on Ticketcorner, but not where you can sit.

I've managed to get tickets in the first three rows for Ricky Gervais each time.

Usually you log into the provider website, click on the artist in the presale list, and then it takes you through to the ticket selling website where you book.

Always worth having your details set up in the ticket seller website, card details and address etc to make the transaction as smooth as possible as there is usually a time limit on the transaction.

Thanks.
Interestingly I had a code to get into the artist's own presale at 9 and managed to get 2 tickets.
Then when I had a nosy at 11 on the O2 presale, there was nothing available by the time I got in after the waiting list.
