Can anyone explain switch vs switch lite to me please?

We have two Children and 1 has a Switch. The second has asked for a switch. Having already got the switch for family game playing (and lots of accessories) is there any benefit to getting another original switch, or could a Switch lite be a decent second gaming alternative. Child 2 is less into gaming, would probably enjoy animal crossing, Mario carts and just dance.

Thanks

Switch lite is just handheld only.
You can't remove the controllers. It can't connect to the TV.
I think you can link a lite to a regular one (when in handheld mode) so games can be played together.
That's it really.
(you wouldn't be able to do Just Dance with the lite because you need the TV for that)

Thanks for that, a quick google told me you could connect to a TV, but that was a reddit thread i couldn't access. Not great for us then. Appreciate your time to answer.
