What did you give to family as a golden wedding gift?

It's my parents' golden wedding this weekend. We're not spending lots, but both my brother and I are trying to think of something we can gift them that's thoughtful but simple.
Other than a framed family photo which whilst nice feels a little uninspired.
Obvs have left myself v little time 😣

I got mine a Caithness paperweight, they do one for golden weddings. My mum tells me to remember whatever I buy will be coming back to me it the will. So I get good gifts 😀

Digital photo frames were all the rage once, dont know if they still are.

I sent my folks a hamper full of 'golden' stuff (syrup, Robertson's golden shred marmalade, Gold blend, Golden Wonder crisps etc) along with a bottle of their favourite champers. They loved it.

Me and my bro wrote them a poem each which I had printed and put into a frame.

Golden Rose

I bought a living rose bush called golden wedding or something. You can also get ones with peoples names so you could even get a pair.

I bought a rose for their garden called golden or golden anniversary, can’t remember now. A very pretty yellow colour.

I think I got a plant of some kind as well....my present was a poor second to my best friend though, who is very crafty, she made them a beautiful needlepoint picture with their anniversary date on......

All my family are fans of the tv show The Royle Family, so they bought us two Golden Egg cups.

We bought my parents a night away in a fancy hotel whi h they loved.

We were given a copy of The Times from the day we were married. It came in a wooden box. Other than that, DD paid for cake for the party and we asked all guests to donate to a Just Giving Page in aid of the local hospice. We also received several bottles of champagne and one dear friend had made us a sampler to commemorate the date. I bought DH new wellingtons!
