Excluding-Happy Birthday, Christmas Carols, Nursery Rhymes and tv theme tunes.
DH thinks his is Ziggy Stardust, mine I think probably Bohemian Rhapsody, but it might be I’m a Believer or Cabaret.

Lord of the Rings soundtrack

This Charming Man - I’ve probably played it at least once a week since around 1988 and often much more.

DutchCowgirl · 25/11/2024 21:17

Bohemian rhapsody … maybe Sweet child of mine .. Enter Sandman.
Those were my favorites when i was young and still are often on the radio.

MaryTwerps · 25/11/2024 21:18

Its got to be Christmas crap surely? For 2 months of the year the same 20 tracks on rotation are everywhere.

In terms of normal songs, Bohemian Rhapsody is a good shout but I'd raise Sweet Child of Mine, a university staple and rarely off any 80's countdown.

MaryTwerps · 25/11/2024 21:19

Ahhh @DutchCowgirl cross post!! Guns n Roses FTW.

I'm sure more will come to me.

Laiste · 25/11/2024 21:23

Parky04 · 25/11/2024 21:32

Sweet Caroline. It's played all of the time at sporting events!

Patienceinshortsupply · 25/11/2024 21:33

That god awful "So here it is Merry Christmas" song by Slade. I could never hear it again and it'd be too soon. Bloody awful song.

Whocanbelieveit · 25/11/2024 21:35

Santa Baby or last Christmas.

Tbf that's probably up there, it was never off the radio in the 90s.

Screamingabdabz · 25/11/2024 22:21

Dancing Queen. ABBA.
Or the Gogglebox theme tune.

NorthernSoul55 · 25/11/2024 22:21

Bloody Mariah Carey, no less than 3 times just today on the car radio

PGmicstand · 25/11/2024 22:33

By choice likely either Velouria by The Pixies or Scream in Blue by Midnight Oil

Samandytimlucypeterolivia · 25/11/2024 22:36

Phil Collins, in the air tonight, I swear they play that on smooth at least 5 times a day. Even DS said to me the other day jeez Phil Collins again 😂

flotsomandjetsome · 25/11/2024 22:37

Keep on Movin' by Five !!! 🤣

It was my go-to song if any of the DC were feeling down, I used to put it on and we'd all sing out loud. Now DC are older and off at uni, I often listen to it in the car (always pops up on my 'on repeat' Spotify playlist) and it just cheers me right up.
