Anyone else got washing out?

It's really really windy here, but dry, when I hung the first load out this morning (extra pegs) DH thought I was insane. Load 4 is out and 5 about to join it. It dries so quickly! I've done all of the laundry, plus bedding, towels, tea towels, oven gloves, cat bed and the last load going out is blankets from the sofas and beds.
Neighbour over the back was out getting the dog in when I put a load out earlier and now I can see they've got one out too!

Had a full load out for a couple of hours then it started raining, I was busy so hadn’t noticed it straight away.
It’s a bit damp but smells good, it’s on the airer and should be dry later on this evening.
Weve had rain and hail today

I've washed my Oodie today and it's out blowing on the line now. It's going to stay out overnight and tomorrow (I'm not afraid of it being darked on) and by tomorrow night I should be able to put it back on again.

Yes I did today. It smells so good when you bring it in

AHFBridport · 25/11/2024 16:47

Sunny here today so I've had towels on the line, better get them in tbh, thanks for the reminder.

We've got a straight line, about 100ft , so it's been brilliant! I love how fresh it all smells

Haven't done sofa cushion covers but might tomorrow if it stays dry, looks like rain overnight but dry tomorrow 🤞

My younger self would be flabbergasted by my excitement over this 😂

I've got a straight line (well, two actually 😀) and I've pegged the washing outside today and it's come in bone dry and aired. I'm excited as well, doesn't take much these days.

No, it's way over for outside washing ages ago, it's been raining for weeks.

RedRiverShore5 · 25/11/2024 17:10

Mine went out today and came in dry, it was sunny and breezy, we also have a long straight line with a wooden clothes prop which DH made.

Chucking it down here too. The line drying site says tomorrow will be a good drying day here but I'm in the office all day!

What's The line drying site?! 👀

I hate nothing more thang having it out and then rehanging inside. Pita.

Oh god, this! It's being hung up once and once only! I don't want to hang it outside for a bit to kinda dry then rehang inside, pointless!

But it smells better! And is better for the air in the home too 🙃

I don't think mine could have dried in a tumble dryer as quickly as it dried outside today. It was very windy!

A big dark cloud appeared about an hour after I'd pegged it out so I thought I'd check on the light bits and was surprised to find it was all dry bar the waistband on a thick hoodie.

RedRiverShore5 · 26/11/2024 06:35
