I've @ a name in error

I've @ a name "s o m e" which isn't an active account but it's stopping me reply to an active thread , any idea what to do to rectify it? Thanks in advance

I've had the same problem in the past. Im not sure there is a solution. There seems to be some kind of glitch stopping you from deleting it.

Yes I have had this too, thought I was doing something wrong. Strange

If you @ someone you can't delete it.... Or at least I can't @CoffeeAndPeanuts @NuffSaidSam

I believe there’s a problem with the forum at the moment which means you can’t delete a username you’ve tagged in a draft post. No idea what the remedy is. Try posting in the Site Stuff section, where MNHQ will see your post, or report your post here to get their attention.

I've @ the wrong person before and just apologised said ignore it's never been an issue but this appears to be a deadname so won't allow me to send. I might leave this up on the chance @Beautifulkitty sees it as she should get a notification when I use her name. ( That is correct right?)

Maybe copy and paste? But leave out the old username bit.

I just tried and it wouldn't let me delete an @ name, but I did highlight and 'cut' and it removed it....a work around for the time being.

I'm confused I have no idea what's going on 😅

probably depends on what you're using I'm on web, not app. iPhone
