Virgin media- is there a catch?

I changed my contract last month. I pay £27/month for M350 Fibre Broadband. At end of contract price will jump to £66/month. Not too fussed about that as I can shop around for better when the time comes.

The app has an offer for M500 Fibre Broadband - 3 months for free, and then £24.90/month starting in February. (End of contract price is £72/month - again can shop around at the time)

So ultimately I will pay less for faster speed?

What is the catch here before I sign up?

Depends how much you can stand them continually contacting you, harassing you to take bigger, more expensive packages and being an absolute pain in the arse when you try to cancel!
We were with them for YEARS (since they were NTL world!) and the prices just kept going up, and the phone calls were constant.
They refused to let us drop to broad band only so we left. At the last moment they offered us what we wanted but by then I was so pissed off I told them to stuff it.
Pay half the price now elsewhere!
