Ps5 what one clueless

Dh keeps on for one. He's not had a console for 10 years , I doubt he'd even use it loads tbh as we rarely have time.
However I'm so stuck for ideas I'm tempted.

If I went digital are the games cheaper
Or am I better with normal disks or whatever they are.

Get a disc one, it gives you more options for games. We find the storage fills up quite quickly.

You could get him a switch instead

My DS has a PS5 but bought himself a Switch

Dcs 4 , 6 and 12 already have a switch each that dh could use but doesn't like.

It's a ps5 he keeps mentioning. I was unsure on opinions of digital or disk which was better.

My DC are Xbox kids but I must admit I can’t remember the last time I bought a disc game for either of them. Everything is digital copy, I’m not sure of the storage on the PS, but my eldest has an Xbox series X & has a hell of a lot of games & we are yet to need to buy additional memory.

If you get a digital-only one, you can't buy secondhand games. And you can't sell on games you've bought digitally, whichever type of console you have. The only place you can buy games on a digital-only console is downloading them from the official online store, where the price is the price and that's that.

The disc one does both but the digital-only doesn't take discs. It's a good bit cheaper though.

I'd go for a disc one, for second hand games and backway compatible with PS4 games.

I'd say different and just get the digital one. My DS16 has this and we just got an external storage drive for extra memory. When did you last buy anything on disc?? DS just downloads anything he wants and has never felt the need for a disc version. The digital one is also cheaper.
