Back Market - is it legit?

DS would like an Apple Watch for Christmas. I'm thinking about getting a refurbished one. Has anyone bought from Back Market? The prices look good.

Yes, it's essentially a platform for multiple resellers, but it gives you more protection - I bought a phone that turned out to be not what I ordered but it was easily sorted. I would buy from there again.

Yes it's great. Bought my daughter an iPhone from there over a year ago. It really is good as new.

DS1 always used to buy his phones from there until about a year ago when he bought a Google Pixel that he paid £600ish for. When it came it was still logged into the account of the previous owner, so they told him to return it. He followed all their instructions but he got told by them that because the drop off point didn’t give him a paper receipt, just an email, he wasn’t getting a refund. The drop off point, it was either DHL or DPD i can’t remember, confirmed they don’t give paper receipts only emails, as did the company but they wouldn’t budge. It went on for weeks.

Eventually he did a charge back through the bank and got the money back. I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole now.

I've used them for a laptop, and two mobiles. No issues at all

We used them for a refurbished iPhone but they wriggled out of honouring the warranty when it went wrong a few months down the line.

Have you looked at CEX who offer a similar service. We have been delighted with what we have bought from them - samsung phone, Samsung tablet. They have at least a 2 year guarantee.

DD said all her friends get their phones from there, so when hers broke a few months ago we got one from there - great condition, fast postage, so far everything good. Other DD's phone has also just broken and we just got her new phone from there too, so far very happy with the service and the phone.
