Legs in agony with a cold

Got some sort of cold virus I’ve had since Monday. Resting actually seems to make it worse and most specifically my legs are in complete agony.

They’re aching like leg cramp and my feet are ice cold despite having the heating, fire, and electric blanket on. Has anyone had this with their legs? It’s so painful.

I've had similar, had a cramp going from my hip to my foot. It's easing now the weather is warming up..... hope you feel better soon x

I had this when I had covid the very first time back in 2020. Like a shooting nerve pain down my legs it was unbearable I couldn't rest, walking was better. I think it was just an odd viral reaction. Solpadeine was the only thing that helped that time and I don't usually take strong painkillers. Never came back again.

Get well soon

It does sound more like Covid than a cold. I had leg pains and feelings like knitting needles through my feet when I had it recently.

I did do a covid test and it was negative, but also ten months out of date.

Just walked to the shop (literally next door) and feel so much better for it than when I just sit and rest, and yet you’re told to rest and let your body heal. Very strange.

See a doctor please. It could be artery related.

I had that when I had Covid before I had jabs.

Do you have a fever? I get terrible leg and hip aches when I have a fever.

EducatingArti · 23/11/2024 14:30

I'd get an up to dated COVID test, and also test again when you have been ill for over 3 days as sometimes that don't show as positive immediately!

I don’t know, I haven’t got a thermometer, but I’ve just taken some cold and flu relief paracetamol and now I’m pouring of sweat, feet are boiling and the aching has stopped. So that might be a fever.
