Sounds like my kind of read too!
I always think about the one where a couple lived in a rented house and they used a little coat room or similar the whole time they lived there and it turns out it wasn't actually there in both the particulars or when they saw the new tenants ... probably made up but sticks in my head

I had totally forgotten about that post until you just said. That was really creepy. I suspect that a lot of woo and classics are made up but they are still great and funny stories though.

I remember when you could come onto mumsnet and actually cry, not be able to breathe with laughter or have to sleep with the lights on due to the woo.

Such a shame those days are gone 😞
