A 30 hours funding one..

Not sure if this is this right place so will request a topi change if needed!

I was hoping someone might be able to offer some advice on the 30 hour funding which my son becomes eligible for from January as he is 3 in December.

He attends a nursery 2 days a week 8-5 and has done since he was 1. He's been in receipt of the 15 hour funding for working parents and it's spread across the year, making in 11 hours per week funding ( plus the top up fees and consumables etc )

His nursery have told me that they do not offer the additional hours funding unless he is attending a min of 3 days a week - is this correct? My other son attended the dame nursery until September this year when he started school and was given the additional funding for 18 hours per week ( he went for 18 hours per week ) and then we again paid the top up fee.

There has been no communication of the change in policy, if there has been one and it is likely we will have to look for a new nursery as I have had to take a drop in hours as DS has a disability which means there are lots of appointments/physiotherapy etc

Yeah pretty sure settings can set their own rules - my kids nursery/pre school states hours cannot be split with another setting and they have to attend 5 days per week 830-330

Couldn't just just him in the extra day so he does 3x10 hours?

I don't need him to go 3 days a week and I'd imagine the cost will be much more than 2 days a week?
