Lake Bled long weekend?

I’d love to go to Lake Bled (or Bohinj). Has anyone done this as a long weekend from London? Is it realistic or not?

I had three nights in Ljubljana a few years ago and went to Lake Bled just for a day. It was very beautiful and worth going but from memory I don't think there was much else to see or do at the lake. Three nights was perfect to do that and explore the city, which is fabulous.

I’ve done a long weekend to Bohinj twice. First trip was an organised swimming holiday. It was fine. Beautiful place.
