Hi all,

I had an important document sent to me tracked 24 royal mail. Got a text yesterday and this morning to say it will be delivered between 8 - 12. Nothing came. Tracking says we recieved at delivery office and is due for delivery today. Nothing else. That was the last note at 7.16am

i am panicking now. What do I do? Has anyone else been in this situation?

Was it via tracked 24 or special delivery? The special delivery has to be delivered by 9 or 1 depending on what the sender specified .
Tracked 24 can be anytime the next day (that target isn’t always met) It would depend what time your postman gets to you .
I suppose what I’m saying is it could still arrive postmen can be out until quite late in the evening but a special delivery should be chased at it’s already missed its deadline .

@321Backintheroom thank you for the reply. Its tracked 24. Says due to be delivered today. Shall I call royal mail?

I would say the likelihood is that the postman is still out on his rounds . Royal Mail wouldn’t do anything for tracked 24 at this point as it is still possible that it could be delivered.
Do you have a regular postman ?

Ill add that some areas have been affect by the bad weather this week so don’t know what it’s like your way

Tracked24 doesn't have a delivery deadline, just a delivery aim. They do try to deliver Tracked24 items on the expected day but it can be quite late on, or may not be until tomorrow (or later). My guess is that either the postie for your area is off work and the round is either not being covered or will be covered by another postie when they've finished their own, or for some reason the item got left behind at the delivery office.

Special delivery items are treated more urgently.

I was meant to have a Tracked 24 parcel coming today but it’s still at the Midlands hub, I am assuming the weather has prevented onward travel to the Highlands.

the delivery office it came to is 15 mins walk but is only open from 7 - 12 noon. I’m at work so can’t go and check. I’m always seeing different posties.. :/ I guess I have to wait till tomorrow

Well there is a chance that it’s been put through the door and not had its final scan ?! Fingers crossed it’s there when you get home 😊

@321Backintheroom I wish! :) I got home an hour ago. So I called the helpline and she said the driver is out and it should get to me today. She said he will be out till 7:30! Thats the first time iv heard that. Finding that hard to believe..

No that does sound right , they can be out that late

I dont think it will come. I’m like 10-15 mins walk/ 5 mins drive away from the delivery office.. surely I would have been one of the first he delivers to? 😫😫😫

@Olivee1991 Yes they do work late. It's 8pm from my delivery office. The dedicated parcel drivers start in the afternoon.

I've had mail delivered at 7.30pm on a Friday evening a few times, I think the postie was off and someone was covering after their own round
