How do you get a driving test?

How do you get a driving test?
My DD is desperate to take her test and we’re having no luck finding one. Testi just directs me to the DVLA website and I’ve tried every date in the world and no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. She’s been struggling with anxiety following an incident that happened on the way back from College. I really want her to feel safer and to give her a bit more confidence.

Go online at 6am Monday, book the first one available. Then get the dvsa booking helper extension to get cancellations.

DP got his wait down from 6 months to 2.5 months this way

@CraftyNavySeal Thank you. When I do a search do I need to start with a date around 6 months away?

When it tells you there are no tests available, you scroll down to the other centres button, and keep scrolling, and keep scrolling, you'll eventually find one somewhere in the country. Book it and sign up with an app - we use Driving Test Now - and swap it for something more local.

I second @CraftyNavySeal. I was online at 6am on a Monday morning and managed to get a slot but any available slots will be a long time in the future. Currently using the Testi app to try to find a cancellation slot. It's mad.

I’ve got her one. In Kings Lynn in March. Seriously if you’re in Kings Lynn and you want to learn to drive you’re laughing.

I’ve successfully signed up to Testi so fingers crossed something comes up closer!! I’m in South London.
@CraftyNavySeal @PetrasDragon @ReineMarieGamache Thank you so so much.

Any updates to this? Any apps that are actually not a con?

Still not got an earlier date. Paid £19 for an app who sent email with a date but by the time we saw it the date was gone, says they would book a date if you pay another £64😲.
