Chicken one out passed used by date

Just about to cook a chicken I had delivered yesterday and realised yesterday was also the used by date.

Took it out of the packaging not slimy does has a slight smell but not sure if that's the normal raw chicken smell. Would you risk it?

I would use it (and often have done).
Get in the habit of giving fresh raw meat a sniff and then you’ll recognise more easily if it’s OK next time.

If it has been in the fridge since you had it delivered I'd be fine with that. I'd be happy to cook and eat it.

If chicken is off you will really know from the smell, it's unmistakeably disgusting. A slight smell from raw chicken is normal.

I admit I'm quite relaxed about use by dates though.
