This is weird right?

So twice now I have had the front of my earring come out (as in the actual stud) but the back stay on, so it is not in obviously but sort of stuck to my ear. What could possibly be causing this/ how is this happening?
Off to look for the missing earring!

Different earrings too so presumably not just a dodgy pair!

I use Lox earring butterflies. They lock onto the earring post. Wish I'd known about them before, lost count of the number of single earrings I've lost. And yes, they were on properly to start with, and yes they left the butterfly behind stuck to the back of my earlobe

Have you got particularly greasy earlobes OP?
