I was diagnosed with a UTI on Thurs last week after the Dr dipped my urine. He said there was a high amount of white blood cells. I've never had one before. My symptoms weren't terrible... just going more often and feeling like I wasn't totally emptying my bladder. A little bit of tummy ache when I weed but not the burning everyone talks about.
He gave me 3 days of antibiotics and I was away. Since then I've been feeling run down - uti symtoms have totally cleared up but today I've been off work sick.
I have a temp, tight chest, cough, headache, nose like a tap, nausea, no appetite and lethargic. Face is actually swollen weirdly.
My sister is stressing that my uti has got worse but when I've looked at the symtoms it sounds like if it had spread to my kidneys I'd be in pain in that kind of area which I'm not. Also the fact that I have the cough and runny nose etc makes me think the 2 are likely not linked and I've probably caught a viral infection in addition to the uti and it's coincidental.
Would you worry or no?
I really don't want to be seen. I have absolutely no energy to go out to an appointment to be told I have a cold!
I had my flu jab a month ago by the way.
