I have a driving test question?

Probably an odd question but do driving instructors have anything to gain by sending a learner for their test before they are truly ready.

Also there's a long wait for driving tests and there's thing twhere you can pay quite a bit more in order to get an earlier test.

My dd has failed twice . on a serious fault. One was on a round about. She said to me well she's meant to give way to people on the right which she did and she went . And got a serious fault due to the person to her left not giving way to her .

It just seems the instructor is sending her before she's ready

Driving tests are often 4-5 months from the date that you make the booking, so it shouldn’t be possible for a learner to take a test before they’re ready if they keep on having lessons in that time.

How many has DD had?

It is possible though. Because if the test is 4/5 months away you can pay extra and get an early booking . Which the instructor pushes her to do.

Ste failed her first test . He instructor said she's a good driver it was just a bad day /maybe stress due to it being test. He told her to book again right away through the fast track (extra money) that was 3 weeks later
She failed a 2nd time.

Now he's telling her to fast track again for the 3rd test dd said she does not have the money for fast track and he tells her he can sort it and she can pay him later.

Ah yes it’s possible the instructor is profiting if she’s buying overpriced tests from him?

Although keeping her taking lessons for as long as possible would make more sense if he’s just financially motivated.

Maybe he genuinely thinks she’s ready!

I don't know. It just seems odd. On one of her test the examiner had to use the emgency break.

Anyway dd is thinking about doing crash course. She's thinking it might just be what works for her. But she could pay that money out then still fail .
