We have gas central heating. Don't have it on before work then it's on a timer from 3.30 until 8 but often turn it off earlier as it's a small house so gets quite hot (and to save money)

We have ours on for half an hour before we get up, going off anywhere between an hour and half an hour before we leave the house when going into work. We use oil filled radiators in individual rooms when working from home as needed.

In the evenings it's on for 30 minutes to an hour before we get home - typically from 5pm and goes off at 9.

I haven't put our timer on yet but it's usually

ON : 0630 set at 19
OFF : either manually when we leave for the day or automatically at 10am.

ON : 1600 set at 19
OFF : 2100

If its going to be particularly cold over night we will set it to around 12 to prevent freezing pipes etc.

We are going to trial not having it on until we wake up (7am) this year. It takes us all about half a hour or so to get downstairs after waking and our rooms are always quite warm. Then after my baby is born (December) we will have the heating on low most of the day as I will be home, thinking around 17/18.

Our thermostat is in the livingroom/hall (open plan - great in summer, nightmare in winter!) so I make sure all the doors are shut there to keep the heat in, plus I turn the bedroom radiators off in the mornings. No point in heating a whole house that's not in use.

We have a 3 bed semi and gas central heating. We don’t have it on a timer, just turn it on / up as we want to. We currently have it on for a couple of hours first thing and then again from 5-8ish. None of us can sleep if it’s too hot later in the day. We have it on about 22 degs.

We have gas central heating and don't use it at all in the mornings. I work from home but just layer up.
When my (adult) children come home I put the heating on to between 18-20 degrees for a couple of hours from about 7-9 pm, the house is then warm enough for the rest of the evening.
