Robot vacuums

I've been thinking a robot vacuum which cleans and mops might make me feel happier about my lack of daily cleaning.

But...

My house is 3 floors - would I need one for each floor?

Do they cope with long hair (DDs)?

Do they cope with big rugs on wooden floors?

If it came across some cat sick, would it clean it or just spread it around the floor?!

  1. You could have the same one for each floor as it has maps for each floor, but would be a pain as you'd have to transport it up and down.
  1. Like any other hoover, it will tangle up with hair. But I don't think it's too bad and it's easy to get rid of it.

Other points I can't comment on. What I would say is that hoovering is decent, mopping less so. You still need to do a proper mop to get rid of marks etc. But works as a placeholder until next proper mop
